The #1 reason that most speakers are not easily understood is that the rhythm of speech they are using is not what most listeners expect when hearing spoken English.  

And to get even more specific, it’s knowing which syllables to stress or emphasize and knowing which syllables to rush or reduce.

In English, there are not a lot a rules that you can count on to help you decide where to emphasize and where to rush, but we do have some guidelines and I’m going to share my top 3 with you in this lesson.
